Gosh, those Saturday morning memories really were some of the coolest!! (Except when the broadcasters would arbitrarily start the entire show over from the beginning, that was some dreadful stuff, LOL.) Kirby Right Back at Ya was definitely one of my favorites, and I remember recording the Kirby movie on a VHS and rewatching it a lot! Once I thought about it, I just had to make a girl looking forward to the same show. I'm glad the comic reminded people of some of those great times!
What do peas mean to YOU? What CAN they mean...for all of us?
Decided to try out a different use of color and style, and ended up with a comic! To quote a related fact, "Plywood is an engineered wood product made up of sheets of wood veneer. The wood veneer boards are pressed and bonded together at around 200 psi and 250 degrees Fahrenheit to create one solid piece."
Got inspired by this old Flash animation with singing by a Canadian voice actress! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23MFMWTB6m8 Something about it just hits me in the nostalgia, a mix of joy at how fun and sincere it is, and also embarrassment at how annoying it is. It's the kind of video you'd not want to show others to avoid judgement, but a great one nonetheless!! And geez it's about time I finish a work in progress like this, way too many complicated ones are just sitting and waiting!
Yotsugi OnonokiĀ is a really fun character, couldn't help but draw her! While she's not my favorite girl from the Monogatari series, she is really up there for a number of reasons: one, she is cute, two, she is cool, three, she has fun deadpan humor. Hope you enjoy! Bonus points if someone somehow recognizes the background I picked!!!!
Was thinking about older stickman comics when making this!
I wanted to capture the feeling of "dude" with this one!
In order to try and promote the spirit of creativity, I put together a few guides to drawing! A bit scattered in direction, but these are things I've learned and thought might be useful to some people! A lot of thinking, personal tips, and a bit of research when into these! And even more to come, eventually!
